To be enrolled in our program, students are required to take 4 lessons monthly (1 per week). However, students who wish to take more than one lesson a week may do so.
Creekside Equestrian Center offers two types of lesson programs:
Pony Pals: Beginner riders that have no experience. Lesson Time is 1.0 hours. This program includes study about the horse and riding. The students then will receive riding instruction which includes grooming, tacking the horse up, and riding. The last 10 minutes is cooling the horse down, un-taking, grooming and putting the horse away.
Horse/Pony School: Open to riders that are intermediate and up and that have passed the pony pals program. Most students have their own horse for this program, but it is open to students that do not have their own horse. These lessons are either private lessons or semi-private lessons and students should have a goal set to acheive. Each lesson is 1 hour long. Students are at this time able to groom, tack up and mount their horse by theirselves with supervision. The lessons are based on the students goals and performing different riding tasks. Advanced levels are also taught in this program with dressage, flat-work and jumping.
